Facilities
Nestled in a quiet residential block in Heathcote, our school is set on the backdrop of Mt Ida and the Heathcote-Graytown National Park. We are continually developing our facilities to provide an enriching educational environment.
Our school has five homerooms and five separate specialist learning spaces for Visual Art, Performing Art, Indonesian, Sport and STEAM. Our classrooms are equipped with smart technology to support modern, innovative learning experiences. Each classroom has a dedicated “calm space” for students to use for self-regulation whilst remaining connected to the whole-class learning.
Our outdoor facilities include a Covered Outdoor Learning Area (COLA) which is used for additional learning opportunities, Sport class and outdoor school events. The school yard also has a shaded playground and a clubhouse for small groups such as drawing club and chess club.
The historic O’Dee Building, which was the original school and boarding house for students during Holy Rosary’s founding years, now serves as a multi-purpose space for assemblies and specialist classes. It has a community meeting room and a chapel for private reflection as well as a kitchen which is used as the school canteen each Friday.
We are excited to be further developing our outdoor spaces which will include a redevelopment of our welcome entrance, a kitchen garden and new shelter.
